A Sad Day

One of my real heroes, Jane Jacobs, has died. Even The Gutter has a relatively non-snarky trubute to her. As well they fucking should.

Although I must admit that the first thing I thought when Andy called me to tell me was "poor thing probably died of a heart attack when she heard Joel Kotkin talking at the University of Toronto about how suburbs aren't so baaaaaad."
